Applying to the Max Planck School of Cognition is a two-step process. This is the first step.

6. English language qualification

An internationally accepted language test (B2 level), not older than 3 years from application deadline, is mandatory for applicants whose (see exemptions at the end of FAQ 1.11):
  • Native language is not English
OR
  • Who have not studied for at least one full academic year (full-time, uninterrupted) at a University or equivalent institution in which English was the language of instruction AND was located within a country in which English is the predominant language.

7. Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test

The GRE general test is highly recommended for all students. Please input your scores below. You will be asked to upload the scanned version of your certificate in the next step of the application process.

9. Letters of Recommendation
